Sans Green Control
Also known as: Esper Red Control, Jeskai Black Control, WUBR Control
Commonly known as Jeskai Black or Esper Red. While this deck generally shares the same core of Ancestral Recall, Mystical Tutor, and Terminus with its 3-color relatives, the addition of a fourth color is often for improving specific matchups. Adding black to Jeskai grants additional disruption against fast combo decks through hand attack and Opposition Agent, whereas red grants Esper more efficient creature removal and closing speed through Phlage, Titan of Fire's Fury.
Sans Green Control has excellent average card quality through playing the best-in-class options among cantrips, removal, counterspells, and threats with graveyard synergies. It is a solid choice into larger unknown metagames due to its stable matchup spread and strength at finding matchup-appropriate answers through card selection.
