Naya Monsters
Also known as: Naya Aggro
Naya monsters aims to quickly overwhelm opponents by landing powerful three and four mana spells as fast as possible. The deck plays the absolute best of the best when it comes to aggressive creatures, planeswalkers, fast mana, and removal. It wins when it resolves a three mana creature on turn two or a three or four mana creature on turn three, never giving the opponent a turn to catch up. A suite of efficient removal clears out opposing permanents while stax pieces like Blood Moon and Clarion Conqueror prevent opponents from effectively developing their own gameplan.
The 'Monsters' archetype in Canadian Highlander, whether it's Gruul, Jund, or Naya, shares much of its DNA with the 'Stompy' archetype seen in formats like Legacy. All of these decks have the same basic plan: play something broken way faster than normal. As such, they all start with the premier fast mana like Ancient Tomb, Mox Diamond, Chrome Mox, etc, and are usually base green to access the best mana dorks. The choice of which colors to add from there is up to the pilot and their metagame. Red gives some of the best threats and the powerful Moon effects, black gives hand attack and graveyard synergies, and white gives hyper efficient removal and some additional stax pieces.
