Lotus Breach
Also known as: Breach Storm
Lotus Breach is a fast combo deck that aims to leverage Black Lotus alongside Underworld Breach to loop a mill piece like Brain Freeze to assemble a win, typically using Freeze or Tendrils of Agony. Despite being a three card combo, the deck can assemble all of its pieces faster than other three card combos because of how Lotus and Breach compliment each other: Lotus provides the mana to find Breach, which allows recasting Lotus and often a tutor for a mill spell, all of which can be done in one turn when starting with Lotus and a generic tutor.
Despite being built around Breach, the deck commonly layers other combos, most frequently Yawgmoth's Will and Oath of Druids for Atraxa, Grand Unifier. The best secondary gameplans have a low cost of inclusion, synergize with cards already in the deck, and provide resilience in the face of hate or Breach getting exiled.
Each color provides something unique to the deck: white brings Silence effects and recursion, blue gives card selection, black provides rituals and many tutors, red casts Breach, and green has a handful of power cards. The strain of the five color mana base is eased due to the focus on finding and using Lotus.
