Jeskai Control
Jeskai Control aims to dismantle opposing decks by playing the best rate card selection, card advantage, removal and threats. The deck excels when it can make efficient one-for-one exchanges and then pull ahead with a card advantage spell or engine such as Ancestral Recall or Forth Eorlingas!. The graveyard is often an essential resource for breaking parity, enabling cards like Snapcaster Mage and Mystic Sanctuary to advance Jeskai's attritional strategy.
Blue decks in Canadian Highlander often blur the line between midrange, control and sometimes even tempo. Different listed archetypes in the same colors can often share upwards of 80% of cards, with the differences largely coming down to author preference and how proactive versus reactive they expect to be in their respective metas. With the variance of 100 card singleton, sometimes the role a deck plays in game is dictated more so by the starting hand than the archetype written in the deck name.
